Artist's Description
Outside Amarillo, Texas on Route 66 is the Cadillac Ranch. Created in 1974 as a public art installation and sculpture of junk Cadillac automobiles buried nose-first into the ground. Cadillac Ranch is very popular and everyone is welcomed but make sure you bring spray paint and don't forget to take a picture, because whatever you create will only last a few hours.
About Paul Plaine
John Naggy's learn to draw kits and his weekly TV show put Paul on a path. That path led to an art company and a 37-year career in advertising, doing artwork on ads for major ad campaigns, publishing, and the music industry. Along, that journey photography also became a significant part of his career. In 2006 I retired early and opened a fine art printing studio to work on my photos and bring my photography, digital, printmaking skills to local artists. Now on to chapter three.

Just outside Amarillo Texas home of the Big Texan 72 ounce steak on old Route 66 is The Cadillac Ranch. As I was walking up to the Cadillac’s I didn't expect to see them covered in graffiti with spray paint cans laying all about. There's a sign posted asking not to leave your empty spray paint cans but they are discarded all around the Caddies almost taken on as their own art form.
