About Paul Plaine
John Naggy's learn to draw kits and his weekly TV show put Paul on a path. That path led to an art company and a 37-year career in advertising, doing artwork on ads for major ad campaigns, publishing, and the music industry. Along, that journey photography also became a significant part of his career. In 2006 I retired early and opened a fine art printing studio to work on my photos and bring my photography, digital, printmaking skills to local artists. Now on to chapter three.

What a cool photo! Very "Americana" :)

Thank you - it's a cool place.

Paul, one of my best holidays ever was driving along the blue ridge mountains. I'd love to do at least part of Route 66 and can imagine rolling into a diner like this. Just so much better than visiting a restaraunt chain. Great shot.
Paul Plaine replied:
We met people from all over the world as we drove a portion of Route 66. There were lots of interesting "stops" but the Snow Cap (and Rubee's Diner in Tucumcari, NM) were special treats! Hope you can make that trip one of these days - you'd love it.

Nice capture, Paul. Thanks for a good description of the diner. I lived on the East coast and had no idea about this diner.
Paul Plaine replied:
If you are ever in Seligman on Rt 66 you have to stop here. The backyard and inside are really unique!! And the hot dogs are great - which is always a plus for me!
